高鈴 (Kourin or Callin')

Kou-Rin (English translation- Callin’)

This original Kyoto-native Duo was formed in 1998 and currently composes and performs in Tokyo.
“Kou-Rin” is named after the Chinese characters meaning “High”(Kou) and “Bell”(Rin) and was chosen to express the sensitive soul and faint yet vibrant color/spirit of the “Bell” that rings out in a “High” tone.
Kou-Rin’s signature sound is created and infused throughout their wide range of original compositions that convey the plaintive and transitory nature of the Japanese language.

2003 
- Signed exclusive contract with Sony Music Records.
- Debut single “Mayonaka no Koukai” was released and introduced their unique musical presence across Japan and beyond.
- Following their debut Kou-Rin released 1 single and 5 studio albums. The release of their song “Aishteru” off their 3rd album “Hibi no Uta” propelled their popularity and was the featured theme song from the Anime show “Natsumeyujincho” broadcast on the TV Tokyo Channel.

2009
- Founded their own Independent label “Little Dance Music”
- Released single “Utakata”.
- Both “Utakata” and “Ato wo Nokoshite” were the featured theme music for national TV commercials promoting the 2010 Kagawa Human Rights and Antidiscrimination Foundation.

2011
- Released single “Suna no Jikan” .
- Launched their live show nationwide.
- Performed self-titled one-man live show “Kou-Rin in Meguro Persimmon Hall” along the “Suna no Jikan Tour” ending their successful Tour on the very highest of notes.

I really really love this duo. I really do. That's why I have all this urge to share the love I have for them. Unfortunately, there're rarely people that know this amazing duo, except for the song Aishiteru which is Natsume Yuujinchou's 2nd ending. I started become Kourin's fans since 3-4 years ago, and I collected some of their albums. I guess I'll share them here... so you can listen to their amazing works. No More Cartoon Network Super-Low Quality Shows, Please!

Ano sa... belum lama ini gue memasukkan Cartoon Network (CN) dalam daftar channel TV kabel gue. Seinget gue dulu CN itu biasa aja... yang nayangin Ben 10, Teen Titans, dan Power Puff Girl, kan? Tapi gue nonton sekarang kok yoo... isinya kartun aneh dengan gaya gambar aneh, pewarnaan yang bikin sakit mata, dan cerita yang nggak kalah bikin otak gue mendidih (migrain, mual, enek).
Seriously, even Horror Anime like Shingeki no Kyojin has a lot, lot better story telling and art... Whats wrong with this super low quality? I have this disturbing feeling in my stomach every time I watch this channel.

TEEN TITANS GO

First, ketika gue nonton Teen Titans Go. OMG. Seinget guee, dulu Teen Titans yang tayang di TV Indonesia (SCTV kalo nggak salah), keren banget. Maksud gue, Robin itu sempet bikin gue dokidoki... hahaha. Tipe tipe tsundere lah. Sedikit seperti anime, dengan nilai moral dan persahabatan yang menurut gue bagus banget. TAPI! Teen Titans Go itu jeleek banget. Bukan maksud gue menghina atau bagaimana, tapi beneran nurun drastis deh. Kalaupun mau nurunin segmen penonton jadi anak-anak juga nggak gini caranya. Humor nggak mutu, alur cerita gaje, gambar seadanya. Robin gue berubah jadi anak ABG alay.

BEN TEN 2016 Reboot

This. Another big disappointed downhill step. Pertama denger, oh... Ben 10 lagi nih, lumayan lah mengobati kerinduan masa kecil. Eh, begitu gue nonton satu episode... Gaaah, apa yang barusan gue tontoon? Gambarnya jelek parah. Lagi-lagi, bukannya gue menghina atau apa, tapi kalo dibandingin sama Ben 10 versi awal aja, ini kalah jauuh. Backstory nggak memuaskan, background gambar yang terlalu simple dan rendah budget, karakter  Ben nya juga lemah banget.. dan lagi-lagi... cerita yang nggak mutu. Well, kalo dari segi grafis mungkin lebih baik dari Ben 10 Omitrix. Tapi teteup, bagi gue Ben 10 OS is da best Ben Franchise eva'. Oh ayolah, di saat anime-anime Jepang karya Makoto Shinkai dan Ghibli Studio memanjakan mata gue... kenapa kualitas CN menurun drastis?

OK. Barusan dua kartun yang udah gue tau dari dulu. Powerpuff girl juga sih, tapi karena dari dulu gue juga nggak suka PPG, jadi yah, gue nggak terlalu ngurusin... hehe.

Selain dua tadi, ada juga beberapa banyak kartun yang bikin gue migrain, enek, dan mual-mual. Kebanyakan dari segi gambar yang *maaf* jelek, pewarnaan yang bikin sakit mata, dan cerita yang disturbing banget. Satu-satunya kartun yang bisa gue tolerir adalah kartun We Bare Bear. Biarpun segmennya masih bukan buat anak-anak, menurut gue, sebagai orang dewasa, gue masih bisa menikmati acara ini. Tentu kalo buat ponakan gue, gue nggak bakal ngasih dia nonton ini... hahaha.

Yang pasti, gue sarankan untuk saat ini jangan kasih anak-anak usia di bawah 20 tahun menonton channel ini. Otak bisa rusak. Berasa di cuci otak gue kalo nonton channel ini. Mending nonton Disney Junior deh. Atau nonton Doraemon yang udah pasti bagus. Untuk saat ini gue agak kapok nonton kartun. Bahkan gue udah nggak nonton Spongebob lagi karena belakangan banyak adegan menjijikan dan disturbing juga.... Satu-satunya channel kartun barat yang gue tonton ya Disney. I'll say no to nickelodeon, too. Meski nggak separah CN, tetep aja acara-acaranya nurun dibandingkan jaman gue kecil dulu.
